The SOCOM Target Acquisition System was developed by Gamepod Skunk Works for use as a low cost Limited Exposure Targeting System solution for the US Military.

Built in cooperation with the same company working on the Soldier of the Future project, the objective was to create a system encompasing many of the same features as it's counterpart at a fraction of the cost. What resulted was a truly unique and versatile system that could be used on any Weaver equipped weapon. Using a head mounted display(HUD) the wearer is able to keep out of harms way while at the same time keep an active eye on the target. A powerful remote pack allows the operator to have full control over the functions of the system, everything from switching between Day and Night vision to zooming in on target.

We are currently working on an even lower cost Version 2 SOCOM TAS that utilizes a wireless system which will not only allow the operator to be unencumbered but will also allow multiple operators to view the targeting video remotely giving the ultimate battlefield situational awareness.
